Commission staff regularly assist Kenosha Area Transit in its planning efforts, including recently initiating a new short-range transit plan for the system.
At the request of the City of Kenosha, the Southeastern Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission, is conducting a transit plan to consider potential bus route changes. This planning process will include a review and evaluation of existing bus services, the development of potential bus route alternatives, and public outreach.
Commission staff assisted the City in organizing a Working Group for this effort. The purpose of the Working Group is to guide the technical staff in the development of the transit service alternatives. Members of the Working Group will be tasked with reviewing draft materials, providing input to the technical team, and considering public feedback.
