Draft Community
Engagement Plan

The Commission is updating our plan that guides how we inform and engage the public in our regional planning efforts.

What is the Community Engagement Plan?

The Community Engagement Plan for the Commission guides Commissioners, agency staff, and advisory committee members in engaging constituents to enrich regional planning. The plan outlines the methods, timelines, and processes for communication and engagement in our planning efforts, including those required by federal transportation planning regulations.

About this Update

This plan outlines the Commission’s approach to engaging constituents and encouraging people of all ages and backgrounds to participate in planning for Southeastern Wisconsin’s future. It explains how we communicate, conduct engagement, and incorporate community feedback in regional planning efforts. Last updated in 2017, the plan identifies several opportunities to better reflect our current practices and ideas for the future. The public comment period ended November 21, 2025 and we are in the process of finalizing the plan.
