Metadata about spatial or map-related data sets are compiled in a standard format developed by the Federal Geographic Data Committee (FGDC). Metadata reports compliant with the FGDC standard are currently provided for the following data sets:
The soils data displayed on this website are SSURGO data from the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), an agency of the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
