The Southeastern Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission, by authority of the Wisconsin State Statutes, serves as the County Surveyor for Milwaukee County.
As the County Surveyor, the Commission is responsible for receiving and filing copies of land survey plats pertaining to Milwaukee County. The Commission maintains an index of the recorded land survey plats for public record. The index contains information about the township and range, section and quarter-section, municipality, property owner, surveyor, date of survey, and the address of the property if shown on the plat.
