Digital aerial orthophotos for the year 2000 are available in a number of different image formats and aerial coverages. Files available from the year 2000 inventory include:
Digital orthophoto images prepared for use at 1:4,800 scale (one inch equals 400 feet), with two-foot pixel resolution. Each image covers a nominal four-square-mile area, or four U.S. Public Land Survey System sections. This series of images also includes accompanying digital files containing map sheet and control survey information.
Digital orthophoto images prepared for use at 1:2,400 scale (one inch equals 200 feet), with one-foot pixel resolution. Each image covers an area of 5,000 by 5,000 feet on the Wisconsin State Plane Coordinate System. This series of images does not include accompanying files with ancillary text or vector information.
Year 2000 orthophotography files are available in two different MrSID-format compressed file products. The 400-scale image files have been merged into single MrSID files covering individual counties. The 200-scale files have been merged into single MrSID files covering individual U.S. Public Land Survey System townships.
