Transportation
As the regional planning agency and MPO for the southeastern Wisconsin region, SEWRPC has the responsibility to undertake continuing public participation and outreach efforts. There are specific Federal requirements pertaining to public participation associated with transportation planning and programming. A memorandum setting forth the specific plan for public participation associated with transportation planning in Southeastern Wisconsin may be found here.

SEWRPC is currently soliciting public comment through March 4, 2012 on a proposed public participation plan which outlines how SEWRPC proposes to achieve public participation in its regional planning. Comment is also being solicited on the proposed revisions to the public participation plan for transportation planning conducted by SEWRPC, which will now serve as an appendix to the more general public participation plan. In addition, public comment is being solicited on a draft of SEWRPC's regional transprtation consultation process which documents how SEWRPC would coordinate its transportation planning and programming efforts with agencies and officials within Southeastern Wisconsin responsible for other planning activities affected by transportation.
