Regional Water Supply Plan for Southeastern Wisconsin - Newsletter No. 4
SEWRPC has prepared and adopted a regional water supply plan which is focused primarily on identifying appropriate sources of water supply to meet anticipated water demands by 2035 facing the many utilities in the Region. The plan addresses issues relative to groundwater depletion and contamination and the regulatory ramifications of the subcontinental divide that diagonally bisects the region, separating the Lake Michigan drainage basin from the Mississippi River drainage basin. This plan is documented in SEWRPC Planning Report No. 52, A Regional Water Supply Plan for Southeastern Wisconsin, Volume One, Chapters 1-12, and Volume Two, Appendices.
This document Managing the Water's Edge: Making Natural Connections was developed to communicate important and up-to-date information and concepts related to riparian buffers in order to help protect and restore water quality, wildlife, recreational opportunities , and scenic beauty.
